_Your Fully Integrated Cattle Management Service

Do You Have High Quality Cattle?...You Can.

Agronomy

Forage and soil fertility and management is an often overlooked part of the cow/calf business. Cattle, fences, and feeding are day to day objectives that we think about often, but soil and forages are taken for granted. When your farm is involved with SMCC that will all change.

SMCC will take annual soil samples in every field, and have them analyzed. The owner/producers will receive copies of all of the reports. Based on the soil reports, SMCC will calculate and if needed, find the best products at the lowest cost. We will even help schedule the application of lime, fertilizer, or other products.Round Bales in Field

Forage samples will be taken in the fall after all hay has been harvested. This will help SMCC and each producer determine if supplementation is necessary in the winter. If there has been a bad year for hay, part of SMCC's job is to find each and every producer a low cost solution. In reverse, if there has been a bumper crop of hay, then SMCC will find buyers for the extra hay to supplement the producer's normal income.

All of these detail oriented services, are part of being a client with SMCC. You will not pay any more for them. If more testing is required of soil, water, bi-products or live forages, it is available for a nominal fee.
